Return & Refund Policy

At Project Montessori, we want to ensure both you and your little ones are happy with your purchase. If something isn't right, we’re here to help.

Damaged, Defective, Missing, or Incorrect Items

If your item arrives damaged, defective, missing, or incorrect, we’ll make it right.

Reporting

  • Please contact us within 14 days of delivery at customers@projectmontessori.com
  • Include clear photos of the item, packaging, shipping label, and SKU label (this may be found on the outer packaging or on the item itself as a QR code (example below)

Resolution: Once approved, we will provide a replacement or a refund at our discretion, including any applicable shipping costs.

Please note: Minor damage to outer packaging that does not affect the product is not considered a defect.


Returns

We also accept returns for items in their original, unused condition within 14 days of delivery. To ensure your refund is processed correctly, please note:

  • Prior Authorization: All returns must be approved by our support team. Please contact us at customers@projectmontessori.com before sending any items back.
  • Original Packaging: Items must be returned in their original packaging to be eligible for a refund.
  • Return Address: Do not return your purchase to the address on the shipping label. We will provide you with a specific regional return address. Items sent to the manufacturer/shipping hub without authorization.
  • Shipping Costs: For "buyer’s remorse" (e.g., changed mind, wrong size/color ordered), the customer is responsible for return shipping label costs.
  • Return shipping costs are only covered by us if the item is damaged, defective, or incorrect.

Return label:

  • Approval: Once a return is approved, we will provide a prepaid return shipping label.
  • Fees: A $20 return label fee applies to all “Buyer’s Remorse” returns (e.g., changed mind, no longer needed). The fee of $20 for the return shipping label will be deducted from your total refund amount.
  • Returns for all other reasons (e.g., damaged or incorrect items) are free of charge.
  • Shipping: Customers must attach the label to the package and drop it off at a shipping location or arrange for a pickup, depending on the specific carrier’s options.

Once your return is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund
  • If approved, the refund will be issued to your original payment method

Undeliverable Packages

Accuracy is key! Please double-check your address at checkout.

  • Undeliverable Packages: If a package cannot be delivered due to incorrect or incomplete address details provided by the customer, we are not responsible.
  • You will have to contact the carrier and arrange a redelivery with your correct address

Order Changes & Cancellations

The 12-Hour Window: You may update your shipping address or cancel your order within 12 hours of placement.

Processing: After 12 hours, your order enters our fulfillment cycle, and changes or cancellations are no longer guaranteed.


Refunds

 Once your return is received and inspected:

  • We will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. Approved refunds are processed back to your original payment method.
  • Please allow a few business days for the refund to appear (processing times may vary by bank)
  • Gift cards are non-refundable

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  • Check your bank account again
  • Contact your payment provider (processing times can vary)

Missing or Stolen Packages

If your tracking shows "Delivered" but you haven't received your package:

  • Please check with neighbors or your local post office.
  • We recommend shipping to a secure location

Project Montessori is not responsible for packages stolen after a confirmed delivery.


Notes

  • Claims submitted after 14 days of delivery may not be eligible for resolution
  • We reserve the right to deny requests that do not meet the above conditions
